Week 2 EOC: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games

"On September 12, 2007, it was reported by the Financial Times that the Wii had surpassed the Xbox 360, which was released one year previously, and had become the market leader in home console sales for the current generation" http://vgsales.wikia.com/wiki/Wii. The Wii did start out as a cash cow but is currently in the dog section of a BCG analysis.

"At that point, Microsoft finally kicked things into high gear and began offering several great Xbox One bundles alongside a serious price cut" http://bgr.com/2015/02/18/ps4-vs-xbox-one-vs-wii-u-lifetime-console-sales/. Microsoft did what it could to be on top of other game systems but could not keep up with PS4. Xbox is just has a strong sales in marketing making it a cash cow.

As of 2015, the PS4 is globally the top seller in hardware systems. Doing a BCG analysis, I consider them a star. "The industry was down a little bit in May, but Sony's Playstaion 4 gamin console bounced back in a big way" http://venturebeat.com/2015/06/11/may-2015-npd-ps4-tops-console-sales-as-the-witcher-iii-has-strong-debut/.

Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service

My experience with great customer service has always been at Samash Music. I always go there to check out new gear or to test instruments. Some prices might be a little higher than Guitar Center but they can match the prices. Right when I walk in, I just feel great. The reason they are my favorite place for customer service is because from my experience, they know what they are talking about.

Employees at Samash always offer suggestions for a better buy including quality and price. They also don't mind if you don't really know what you are talking about and talk on forever. Also, the store here in Vegas closes at 9pm. I have gone to there store around 8:50pm just to mess around with things and they don't seem to mind. They waited for me to leave instead of kicking me out.

I really like Samash's customer service and always recommend them to any musician. "Outstanding marketing companies go to great lengths to learn about and understand their customers’ needs, wants, and demands" (Marketing: An Introduction, 10th Edition.  Armstrong 6). Even if I don't plan to buy anything, they go get a cable, the instrument I want to try out and ask for my amp preference.

Week 1 EOC: My Voice

As a child, guitars always amazed me; specifically classical guitars. My dad would always call me to the living to watch musicians and vocalists perform. I cannot remember my age, but since the first time I seen a guitar on TV, I knew I wanted a real one. My parents did not take me serious since I was so little and guitars are somewhat expensive. I bugged them for years. I was so happy I finally got my first classical guitar!

Even if I didn’t really know what I was doing, I played my guitar all day. I eventually got the hang of it. The older I grew, the more I knew and the more I practice.

I practiced so much my dad did take away from me once. I know he wants to see me get somewhere with music but not my guitar, anything but my guitar!

I am a musician and professional audio engineer. Creativity is support important to me when it comes to making music. It is a big part of my life and a huge part of my future.
